We are proud of how far we’ve come

Since being established in 1999 under the name of Direct Works Forum, Direct Works was set up with the aim of providing a professional platform for those delivering in-house repairs and maintenance services in housing associations. Membership grew quickly to include local authorities and arms-length management organisations (ALMOs).

Over the years, our quarterly seminars grew in reputation and reach, attracting industry leaders and policy influencers, and many of our founding member organisations are still members today.

Finally, in 2020, Direct Works Forum launched a new constitution and became, quite simply, Direct Works.

Now, 25 years later, we are so proud of how far we’ve come, and are so excited for the future. This year is set to be the biggest year in Direct Works’ history, and we sincerely hope many more of you join us on this journey.
